For the many consultants, customers and partners of Microsoft Dynamics, who, under various circumstances, need to search for help (or) support on any issue they are facing during their development, implementation and maintenance processes, the Knowledge Base in Partnersource is a key resource to look into.В
But not at all times, they have a solution available for them in the knowledge base, since the knowledge base is a constantly updated pool of information, which is updated by Microsoft personnel, from time to time, based on the various issues that are reported to them through a Service Request in Partnersource VOICE.В
In such cases, there are other areas where you can fish into to get some help. I have gathered the information of some of these places from where you can raise support issues and get support from the entire Dynamics community, including Microsoft Support Team.
Microsoft Business Solutions Public Newsgroups – Click Here
Public newsgroups are available via a public forum. These newsgroups are meant for the Microsoft Dynamics community at large to have discussions around Microsoft Dynamics products, services, and programs. Often you will see Microsoft customers, partners, and employees in these newsgroups. In North America, Microsoft Dynamics customers will receive a managed, guaranteed response from Microsoft Support Professionals as a benefit of certain Maintenance plans.

Partner Private Newsgroups are only accessible to individuals with access to PartnerSource. These groups are unmanaged, which means you will not receive a guaranteed response from a Microsoft Support Professional. Although Partner Private Groups are unmanaged, you may receive responses from other Microsoft employees, such as individuals from product development, product management, or others – but responses are not guaranteed. These newsgroups are not accessible to customers and are meant to provide an environment for private partner-to-partner conversations. Partner Managed Newsgroups
Partner Online Technical Communities (formerly called Partner Managed Newsgroups) are offered as a benefit to the Microsoft Partner Program. They are areas where you and other Microsoft partners can come together to share ideas and learn more about Microsoft technology. You can join technical communities based on partner type, or business or product interest. Microsoft support professionals monitor each community and respond to all posted questions and inquiries. Response times vary by community.
