Microsoft Dynamics GP’s Manufacturing module is best known for its discrete manufacturing capabilities and does an admirable job of meeting the requirements of discrete manufacturers in mid-market to enterprise-level organizations.  Although I’ve seen it used in process manufacturing industries such as food, cosmetics, and life sciences, application in these industries is not in playing to the Manufacturing module’s strengths .
