Emailing SOP invoices in GP 2010 made easy with GP Reports Viewer

  Background / The Problem For many companies a long awaited new feature introduced with Dynamics GP 2010 was the ability to email SOP (Sales Order Processing) invoices directly from GP. Many of our customers have started to offer emailing of invoices to their customers and are seeing an increased number of requests for emailed invoices. However, something that we have heard many users complain about with GP’s new emailing options is how cumbersome it is to deal with both emailing and printing invoices. It’s easy if invoices are all printed or all emailed, but anything in-between requires a lot of manual sorting through records in GP or sorting through printed invoices to determine what needs to get mailed out. I think it was in 1990 that we started talking to Microsoft about the possibility of jointly producing a low-end accounting system. The work we were doing on EB was a big factor in attracting Microsoft to the project, and our initial proposal was that we would build this new accounting system with EB. Continue reading

Mass Item/Vendor Link

  I got a request from one of my customers to have the ability to link multiple items with a vendor without the need to add them one by one and I have created this using the .Net toolkit, the screen will look like the below: The user can filter items from the list on the left panel, click on insert and process! The system will link the selected items with the selected vendor! I am willing to publish this tool soon, will update the article with the download link once doing some fine tuning on the utility.
